HIKING Saturday Medium Hiking -- for 9 miles on 03/18/2023 @ 9:00am - 1:30pm -- We will do a 15 minute shuttle of a minimum of cars north to the start of this hike at White Clay Creek State Park and hike back through the Newark paths of the Mason Dixon Trail (MDT). These trails are maintained and marked with sky blue blazes. The City of Newark owns a large part of this section of trail as it follows the winding western reaches of the Christina River. Expect some mud and minor stream crossings. It will be approximately 85% trail and 15% paved, with several local road crossings. Bring shack, water and lunch. FYI, these are the 10 route sections of entire 200 mile MDT. We’ll be in MDT section 9.
HIKING Saturday Long Hiking -- for 15-17 miles on 03/18/2023 @ 9:00am - 3:00pm -- There will be hills, stream crossings, mud, a little road walking. Bring water, lunch, and snacks.

Overflow parking for the Environmental Center is in front of St. Francis Healthcare. Join us for easy walking on paved surfaces and boardwalk along the Riverfront and part of the Jack Markell Trail.
