HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for 5 miles on 03/16/2023 @ 10:00am - 12:15pm -- This hike will be in an usually secluded nearby 3,000 acre forest. Enjoy the native pine trees, sweet gum trees, mountain laurel, azaleas, ferns, grasses, and mushrooms. Expect some wet ground areas. There will be a few short hills, but mostly flat. Some surfaces have been worn by erosion. About 40% trail and 60% dirt roads. No paved roads even crossed. Half of the hike will follow a section of the 199 mile Mason Dixon Trail.
