WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Recurring) -- for miles on 12/01/2022 @ 9:00am-11:00am -- This project’s objective is to increase plant diversity and help preserve the native plants by removing non-native invasive plants. Wear long sleeves and pants, work gloves. Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. The walk to the worksite varies between 0.25 to 1.0 mile. HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for 3-4 miles on 12/01/2022 @ 10:00am-12:00pm -- This nature hike will pass through an “array of diverse habitats from upland grasslands to river bottom wetlands, each offering its own varieties of plants.” From portions of an old rail trail to hilly terrain we will loop by the Chester and Concord Creeks and the Sequoia woods and Tree Farm. Park in the 2nd lot from the entrance. Trekking poles are advised since there are hills and a stream crossing.
