HIKING Saturday Medium Hiking -- for 7 - 8 miles on 04/24/2021 @ 8:30am - 11:30am -- RSVP is required on or after Sunday, April, 18, to Gary Kirk. There will be no lunch stop. It is recommended you bring water and snack. You must maintain a 6′ social distance and if not, you must were a mask. A mask must be with you, and it must be ready to be used. It is recommended you bring sanitizer and your own pen for signing the release. The leader will have sanitizer. According to Club current coronavirus rules only 15 hikers are permitted on each hike. (new limit) After signing up for a hiking spot and you find you cannot make it, please, let the leader know ASAP so another hiker may take your place.

HIKING Saturday Long Hiking -- for 13-15 miles on 04/24/2021 @ 9:00am - 2:00pm -- 14 miles (give or take). Meet at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel by 9:00. We will hike in Brandywine Creek State Park, First State National Park, and nearby areas. Expect hills, rocks, stream crossings, and mud. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Reserve your spot with the leader by phone, e-mail or register in this calendar event. COVID considerations: You must maintain a 6′ social distance and if not, you must wear a mask. HIKING Saturday Short Hiking -- for 4-5 miles on 04/24/2021 @ 9:30am - 11:30am -- This is a COVID-19 compliant hike so only 15 hikers (including the leader) will be able to attend. Please bring your mask, hand sanitizer, a pen to sign the hike release form, and a snack to eat while we’re hiking. There will be no lunch stop. Please RSVP no earlier than April 18 by email to the leader.
PADDLING Touring Paddling -- for 10 miles on 04/24/2021 @ 9:30am - 2:30pm -- This is an advanced paddle as it is early season. Cold weather gear is required. We will paddle with the tide up the Christina River to the White Clay Creek and the Red Clay Creek, and return with the outgoing tide to Newport. This is a CORVID-19 compliant paddle. We will be maintaining social distancing when possible and wearing face masks as necessary. Please bring a face mask, hand sanitizer, and your own pen to sign the liability/release form. Please bring a lunch or snack to eat in your boat. The paddle is limited to 15 people and you must RSVP the leader via email to attend. RSVPs will only be accepted 6 days prior to the day of the paddle (i.e. starting Monday April 19). After 15 are signed up you will be placed on a waiting list.
