HIKING Sunday Hiking -- for 5 miles on 11/15/2020 @ 8:30am - 10:30am -- This hike is limited to 10 people and you must RSVP the leader by email no earlier than 6 days prior to the hike (starting Nov. 9 ). If you register for the hike and find that you cannot go, please let the leader know right away so that someone else may take your place. We will follow state law regarding Covid-19 rules: You must have a mask with you readily available on the hike and you must use it if you cannot maintain 6 feet of distance from anyone not in your household, including fellow trail club members and others also using the trail. NO EXCEPTIONS!
PADDLING Touring Paddling -- for miles on 11/15/2020 @ 9:00am - 2:30pm -- This is a CORVID-19 compliant paddle. We will be maintaining social distancing when possible and wearing face masks as necessary. Please bring a face mask, hand sanitizer, and your own pen to sign the liability/release form. Please bring a snack to eat in your boat. The paddle is limited to 10 people and you must RSVP the leader (Louise Young) via email to attend. RSVPs will only be accepted 6 days prior to the day of the paddle (i.e. starting Monday November 9). After 10 are signed up you will be placed on a waiting list. The White Clay was past flood stage with the recent storm and we are curious to see the impact of the flooding. We paddle up the Christina then up the White Clay as far as we can go and be back in Newport early afternoon. Cold weather gear is required to paddle. There is no shuttle.
