HIKING Saturday Medium Hiking -- for 8 or less miles on 10/31/2020 @ 8:30am - 12:00pm -- Wear a “mask” and bring candy.🤡 There will be no lunch stop. It is recommended you bring water and snack. You must maintain a 6′ social distance and if not, you must were a mask. A mask must be with you, and it must be ready to be used. It is recommended you bring sanitizer and your own pen for signing the release. The leader will have sanitizer. According to Club current coronavirus rules only 10 hikers are permitted on each hike. RSVP is required on or after Sunday, October, 25, to Leader. After signing up for a hiking spot and you find you cannot make it, please, let the leader know ASAP so another hiker may take your place.
PADDLING Touring Paddling -- for miles on 10/31/2020 @ 10:30am - 4:00pm -- This is a CORVID-19 compliant paddle. We will be maintaining social distancing when possible and wearing face masks as necessary. Please bring a face mask, hand sanitizer, and your own pen to sign the liability/release form. Please bring a lunch to eat in your boat. The paddle is limited to 10 people and you must RSVP the leader (Christina Older or Kalindi Dogra, ) via email to attend. RSVPs will only be accepted 6 days prior to the day of the paddle (i.e. starting Sunday October 25). After 10 are signed up you will be placed on a waiting list. If you use a GPS system enter the Nearest Address (301 Harvey Dr, Newport) not the Exact Coordinates. Those coordinates have been a problem for some GPS systems. At that address, turn off Harvey Drive at the sign for the Newport Boat Ramp – DNREC as it says in the location notes. There is no shuttle.
