HIKING Saturday Medium Hiking -- for 8 or less miles on 07/18/2020 @ 8:00am - 11:00am -- Beat the heat with an early start. Some minor stream crossings…moderate hills. Bring water, sunscreen, tick repellent. You must maintain a 6′ social distance and if not, you must were a mask. A mask must be with you. It is recommended you bring sanitizer and your own pen for signing the release. The leader will have sanitizer. According to Club current coronavirus rules only 10 hikers are permitted on each hike. RSVP is required on or after Sunday, July 12, to Leader: Joe Petrucci After signing up for a hiking spot and you find you cannot make it, please, let the leader know ASAP so another hiker may take your place.
HIKING Saturday Short Hiking -- for 5 miles on 07/18/2020 @ 8:30am - 10:30am -- This hike is limited to 10 people and you must RSVP the leader Joan March to join the hike. You may RSVP starting 6 days prior to the hike, i.e. July 12, 2020. If you RSVP and secure a spot but have to cancel, please notify the leader ASAP so that another person can take your place. We will adhere to park guidelines regarding Covid 19 and hikers must have a mask with them at all times on the hike and we will follow social distancing rules. Please bring your own pen for sign-in and hand sanitizer. There are some hills on the hike and please bring water as it will likely be hot out.
PADDLING Touring Paddling -- for miles on 07/18/2020 @ 9:30am - 3:00pm -- This is a CORVID-19 compliant paddle. We will be maintaining social distancing when possible and wearing face masks as necessary. Please bring a face mask, hand sanitizer, and your own pen to sign the liability/release form. Please bring a lunch to eat in your boat. The paddle is limited to 10 people and you must RSVP the leader (Wes Young) via email to attend. RSVPs will only be accepted 6 days prior to the day of the paddle (i.e. starting Sunday July 12). After 10 are signed up you will be placed on a waiting list. This paddle will not be the usual one around Furnace Bay and up Principio Creek to the railroad bridge because the tide would not allow it. The paddle will be around Carpenters Point into the North East River and return. A boat 12’ or longer is necessary, and a skirt is recommended. There is no shuttle.
