WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Recurring) -- for miles on 04/09/2020 @ 9:00am - 11:00am -- This project’s objective is to increase plant diversity and help preserve the native plants by removing non-native invasive plants. Wear long sleeves and pants, work gloves. Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. The walk to the worksite varies between 0.25 to 1.0 mile. HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for 4-5 miles on 04/09/2020 @ 10:00am - 1:00pm -- Enjoy this spectacular spring wildflower and bluebell display along the Susquehanna River and you may even see a bald eagle…or two, or more, fishing below the Conowingo Dam. Park fees are in effect with out of state drivers paying $3.00 at the park entrance by envelope. Carpooling: Arrive ready to leave at 8:50 AM in the Hockessin Memorial Hall parking lot (Rt. 41 and Yorklyn Road).
