WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Recurring) -- for miles on 12/26/2019 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am -- This project’s objective is to increase plant diversity and help preserve the native plants by removing non-native invasive plants. Wear long sleeves and pants, work gloves. Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. The walk to the worksite varies between 0.25 to 1.0 mile. HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for 4 miles on 12/26/2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm -- Hike with the ghosts of Brandywine Springs historical amusement park. For those who enjoy the idea of walking leisurely through history, immersed in nature in the beauty of winter, join me for a hike on trails with a few steep hills, to imagine what this historical location was like in 1890 as an amusement park in Wilmington DE before it vanished in 1923. There is a porta-potty and no parking fee.
