WTC WTC Volunteer Opportunities (Recurring) -- for miles on 08/22/2019 @ 9:00am - 11:00am -- This project’s objective is to increase plant diversity and help preserve the native plants by removing non-native invasive plants. Wear long sleeves and pants, work gloves. Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. The walk to the worksite varies between 0.25 to 1.0 mile. HIKING Thursday Hiking -- for miles on 08/22/2019 @ 10:00am - 12:30pm -- An up-and-back hike following the Mason Dixon Trail through Rittenhouse Park, Folk Park & Iron Hill Park, ending at the Iron Hill Museum. There are no stream crossings; however, this relatively flat hike includes wet areas. Wear waterproof boots and bring water. There will be some walking along paved roads connecting the three parks and includes crossing over I-95. There are no restroom facilities at the start, but there are restrooms at the Iron Hill Museum.
