Below is a list of events at or near area parks, that will be led by the Wilmington Trail Club (www.wilmingtontrailclub.org) volunteers, within the next 3 months.  You are very welcome to join these hike & volunteer events.  Please read the description to determine if you are capable of doing a hike.  If you have questions or for more information about a hike contact: Gary Kirk [ or (302) 366-0464].  Parks included in this list are:

This hike is restricted to 10 hikers. To reserve, contact the leader by email no earlier than September 23.

Bring your mask and keep it handy so that you can wear it at anytime that you may be less than 6 ft. from anyone

Bring your own pen and hand sanitizer for signing in.

Bring tools such as loppers, hand saws, pruners, shovels. All help is welcome and there is work for all levels: from pulling easy to remove honeysuckle vines, to sawing down linden viburnum. This hike is limited to 10 people, including the leader, so 9 may RSVP starting September 27 via email to leader Karyn Derman. We will  follow State of DE Covid 19 rules, maintain 6 feet apart social distance and/or wear face mask if social distance is not possible.

 

If you sign up for and secure a spot on the hike and later find that you must cancel, please contact leader immediately so that someone else can take your place.  Once we have 10 hikers, leader will start a waitlist for the hike.  Recently hikes have been full and we have had people on a waiting list, so it  is very important that you do this…

Maintain 6 feet of social distance at all times. Bring a mask and keep it easy to get to in case that you can’t maintain the 6 feet.

  • There will be no lunch stop. It is recommended you bring water and snack.
  • You must maintain a 6′ social distance and if not, you must were a mask.
  • A mask must be with you, and it must be ready to be used. It is recommended you bring sanitizer and your own pen for signing the release. The leader will have sanitizer.
  • According to Club current coronavirus rules only 10 hikers are permitted on each hike.
  • RSVP is required on or after Sunday, October 4, to Leader.
  • After signing up for a hiking spot and you find you cannot make it, please, let the leader know ASAP so another hiker may take your place.
