Alternative Swift Water Rescue Course

If you can't make the Swiftwater Rescue date on 8/2 at the Lambertville Dam, consider the commercial course at Potomac Paddlesports just below Great Falls.  On Saturday 7/19 there will be the Basic course and on Sunday 7/20, the Advanced course.  Class limit is 15; taught personally (I'm told) by Charlie Walbridge, possibly the #1 safety guy in the world.  Each day is done separately and they're $95 each.  They haven't posted this on their website yet so you would need to call to register.  I can't wait!

Alternative Swift Water Rescue Course

Who is signed up for this course so far?  Maybe we can coordinate the trip to the Potomac.  So far it's me, Tom, and Bernie.

Last year someone borrowed my Whitewater Self Defense video, probably at the meeting in Feb. at Chris Stranahan's.  Sure wish I could get it back before this training...

Re: Alternative Swift Water Rescue Course

Unfortunately I can't participate in a carpool for this.  Myself and Katie have planned some side trips/events while we are down there.  We might, however, be interested in sharing accomodations if anyone has plans to stay down there saturday night.
