Trip coordinator Gary Jackoway
We will meet at the boat launch at the Community Park in Perryville, MD at 10 am to launch at 10:30.This is a paddle that is appropriate for novices with some paddling experience. A boat 12ft or longer is best. A spray skirt is also a good idea, but not mandatory. We will be paddling during high tide, so we will be able to access the further reaches in this area.Perryville is a paddle that includes the open water of the Susquehanna Flats, which means that tides and wind can challenge any paddler. We are usually fortunate to see herons, eagles, ospreys, and a variety of other birds. Please bring water, sunscreen, and a lunch. There is no shuttle. There is a porta-john at the launch. We anticipate being on the water for 3+ hours. Please respond to Gary Jackoway if you are coming and with any questions.
